Default Bit of help

I have to do a questionnaire kind of thing for my class on online role playing games and I was wondering if anyone could help me by taking it and posting there answers here. Please and thank you. ^_^

1. Are you male or female?

2. How long have you been playing online role playing games?

3. How many online games do you play? What are they?

4. How many hours on average, do you spend playing these games each day? (Put an x next to the one that applies to you)

0-1 hours 1-2 hours 3-4 hours 4-5 hours 5+ hours

5. Why did you start playing online role playing games?

6. Why do you continue playing online role playing games?

7. What do you do when you aren’t playing online role playing games?

8. Have you noticed any changes in your daily routine since you started playing online role playing games? (e.g.: spend more time playing online games then being involved in your real life?)

9. What have online role playing games contributed to your real life? Explain.

1. Are you male or female?
Female

2. How long have you been playing online role playing games?
4 years

3. How many online games do you play? What are they?
Guild Wars, Dungeon Runner, Requiem - Bloodymare, Rohan - Blood Feud these are the one I still play when I am bored.

Games I am waiting to try/play
Exteel - not available in my region
Earth Rise -
Fallen Earth

Game i've tried but don't like
Free Realm < tried it, think its great for children won't get attached to it much
World of Warcraft < got an account that I can play, but I don't seems to get attached to it as the other game I've try even thou Its free for me.
RFOnline - try it cos it has transformer/robot like armor, don't like it because the I have no idea how things work in that game, it takes too much effort to me to learn something complicate just for the fun (btw just found out its european servers are closed.
9-dragon < crappy graphic, crappy game play, crappy translation, and the NPC talks too much too long.
Savage 2 - A Tortured Soul > nice graphic, but don't want to learn how to play it, you jumps right into a PvP game and the players base are so little that you are the only player in a PvP (its an RTS not RPG btw)
and many more that I installed, take a look at the graphic and uninstalled and totally forgotten about them.

4. How many hours on average, do you spend playing these games each day? (Put an x next to the one that applies to you)
0-1 hours 1-2 hours 3-4 hours 4-5 hours 5+ hours
bold is the answer, for how much I play now, used to be 5+hours everyday when I am still play Guild Wars.

5. Why did you start playing online role playing games?
Guild Wars was a gift from someone.

6. Why do you continue playing online role playing games?
Its Guild Wars

7. What do you do when you aren’t playing online role playing games?
Troll the Forum lol, seriously, I work and try to upkeep the house

8. Have you noticed any changes in your daily routine since you started playing online role playing games? (e.g.: spend more time playing online games then being involved in your real life?)
No change, I use a computer and work from home, I can do both actually at the same time, actually I can do many things since everything is at home.

9. What have online role playing games contributed to your real life? Explain.
I stop using msn messenger because now I can chat with my family using Guild Wars and play with them at the same time. But not anymore cos we all stop playing.

Default [Caution: Useless, inconceivable tish-tush.] You have been warned!

Here's my bit. Thought I'd try doing the survey. I hope it helps. And good luck with it. :]

1. Are you male or female?
Male.

2. How long have you been playing online role playing games?
Since I was eleven. I'm nineteen, now. So eight years.

3. How many online games do you play? What are they?
Several, and highly variable. Right now, I'm on Guild Wars, Ragnarok, and World of Warcraft.

4. How many hours on average, do you spend playing these games each day? (Put an x next to the one that applies to you)

0-1 hours 1-2 hours 3-4 hours 4-5 hours 5+ hours
Five plus hours, when it becomes allowable.

5. Why did you start playing online role playing games?
Seemed like the in thing. I get bored. Many would argue escapism.

6. Why do you continue playing online role playing games?
I was seriously troubled when I was much younger. Haha.

Being addicted, or something to that effect. I'm guessing having nine accounts laying around tells me something. In psychology, they say that the need to do things (in this case, the continuity of my online gaming sojourns and what have you's) arises from wanting to relive the first and most memorable experience. So let's just say I had fun, then. And I have fun playing them (although, theoretically-speaking, I could be having fun, or at least trying to -- it just depends on which is which).

7. What do you do when you aren’t playing online role playing games?
Being a home-body, I stay at home, I sit up nights doing introverted things like reading, practicing calligraphy, and writing. All these things I do, I accompany with music (my own musicality or another else's, although the former is something under-appreciated by most people). Oh, I spend time laying in bed, just staring up at my ceiling, wondering if it'd be looking at me, if it turned out to have had eyes, too.

8. Have you noticed any changes in your daily routine since you started playing online role playing games? (e.g.: spend more time playing online games then being involved in your real life?)
I may be addicted to online gaming, but they have no evident profound, and adverse effects on me. Would you consider staying up way beyond my bedtime, even though I function perfectly, given my one hour of night's rest?

9. What have online role playing games contributed to your real life? Explain.

Let's see. Here's a small list:

A.) I've rediscovered my first love: Language. I stay by my stand that online gaming helps develop the linguistic proficiency of those who play (given that the language of the game is not a badly translated Korean MMO, or something to that effect).

B.) Public relations? Lending an ear to people you don't know has this really funny effect on you. This is to say that I'm not as egocentric as I used to. Learning to deal with people, strangers, at that, and realizing that they, too, are as visceral as the ones you experience on a day-to-day basis. I may be an arse, but I guess I learned how to treat people better.

To emphasize on the second point: for someone who didn't make real, real friends in real life, I guess I find that there are people, people on the other line, who could possibly be more than the friend you say you have, for real. Really.

Ideals, confidence, bliss, and ignorance. All wrapped in that one.

C.) Patience yields virtue. Or was it the other way around? Eh, I'd settle with a vice-versa on this one. So much for all those countless of sleepless nights where I'd stay up late, scheming for the best way to fund my rather uncontrollable in-game shopping impulses. If you can't control them, well, find a way to indulge yourself.

D.) Gaming unclutters my mind, definitely, a way to unwind.

E.) Role-playing escapades. Light, hearty role-playing provides all the escapism I want and need.

F.) It allows me to go on my radical tangents. So on, so forth.

G.) For the kicks. Let's just say I'm a very contained person, who acts tough, aggressive, and extremely unbearable, online.

H.) We've all flirted in-game. And we know it. There's no denying that, I guess.

Ha, so much for the small list. Sorry, I get carried away.
